5th Birthday Party Ideas: Boy’s Pirate Party Decorations and Activies
Wow! Little man has just turned 5, I can’t believe our little boy is already half a decade – I remember as if it was yesterday when I cuddled him for the very first time!
We celebrated his 5th birthday party at home with a pirate themed party. Little man loved it and the party was a success with his little friends and cousins.
We received a wonderful box of party goodies from Sainsbury’s, including a birthday cake, tableware, decorations, crafting kit and more.
When little man saw all the pirate themed decorations, he was very excited and looking forward to his birthday party. He loved dressed up as a pirate with a gorgeous fancy dress costume, complete with a pirate’s hat, eye patch, detachable foam parrot and foam sword.
Apart from his beautifully made pirate costume, we also had a treasure chest pinata, delicious skull birthday cake and candle, birthday card and badge, with plenty of golden chocolate coins scattered around the table.
We decorated the room with beautiful colourful balloons with number 5 printed on them, space themed tablecloth with rockets and planets, and matching plates, cups and napkins. The kids enjoyed getting busy with pesky pirate stamp kit and enjoying the delicious pirate loot, soft gummy sweets in pirate themed shapes.
Little man had a delicious pirate skull cake, a Madeira cake layered with butter cream and raspberry jam, decorated with coloured icing – perfect to feed hungry little pirates.
During the birthday party, little ones got busy crafting with Pesky Pirate stamp & paint kit, a great kit including 8 fun pirate themed stamps, 5 paints, paint brush, roller and paint tray. The kids enjoyed crafting and making pirate swords and hats with the kit.
Another popular activity during the birthday party was piñata. The treasure chest pirate themed piñata was full with chocolate coins, sweets and pirate related toys. The piñata was very sturdy and durable, we had 12 children in total and each child had a few turns before the pinata broke and fell down.
It was a bright and sunny day, so we made the most by having a BBQ, which was enjoyed in the space themed plates.
Overall, little man had a great birthday, he enjoyed every second of it. I am very impressed with the quality of the birthday party goodies we received, they are made with great quality material and are gorgeous too!
