Are you Superstitious? Check out Friday the 13th Superstition Survey Results

Are you superstitious?

If anyone asked me, I will probably say no. But then I think again, and I remember that I usually touch wood when I mention something good that I am really looking forward to/ hoping for.

According to a recent Superstition Survey conducted by Tombola, 62% of people in the UK also touch wood, just like me, and touching wood is one of the most popular good luck superstitions, together with finding a penny and having itchy palms.

Friday 13th Facts2

Today is Friday the 13th, and a surprising 7 out of 10 of us are superstitious and believe today is unlucky, so they should avoid potential dangers. People in the West Midlands are most superstitious about Friday the 13th with 4 out of 5 people superstitious about the day.

The survey found that women are four times more superstitious than men, however men are more superstitious on football.

I was chatting to hubby about superstition, when I asked if he was superstitious, he answered ‘a little’. His first thought was his ritual before every football match he plays. When playing football, hubby always follows the same routine in the mornings, he always wakes up at the same time, has breakfast the same amount of breakfast at a certain time, and he always wears the same top underneath his goalkeeper top.

I then reminded hubby that he is also superstitious when it comes to travelling. He always wear an Arsenal football top whilst travelling, no matter which season, home or away, you will definitely find him wearing one of his several Arsenal shirts.
