Join Poppy Cat Adventures at Nickelodeon Land in Pleasure Beach this June!
Little man is a Poppy Cat fan, he loves Poppy Cat books and Poppy Cat Toys. Since he met Poppy Cat at John Lewis, he loves Poppy Cat even more!
He was delighted to be invited to meet Poppy Cat at Nickelodeon Land in Pleasure Beach. Last year we visited Nickelodeon Land and had a great time, but this year’s visit was even better and more special as little man had lots of fun with his favourite Nickelodeon characters.
As we live in London, it is a long return journey to be done in a single day. We stayed at the gorgeous Big Blue hotel, located just outside Blackpool Pleasure Beach. We could actually see the Big One roller coaster from the window of our beautiful room.
Little man was delighted with his own room with TV and board game on the wall. We woke up to a delicious buffet breakfast, with cooked breakfast, yogurt, cereal, pastries, coffee and juice. After our tasty breakfast, we were ready for our fun-filled day!
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a 42-acre amusement park featuring over 125 rides and attractions and home to the UK’s only Nickelodeon Land, a six-acre attraction home to 12 rides based on the popular children’s TV channel.
Poppy Cat, the adventurous cat, is appearing in her own shows at Nickelodeon Land throughout the day, every day this month until 30th June. Children can meet and greet their favourite character, and also take part in great activities, such as copying her during Copy Poppy dance routine, story time with a member of Team Nick, and interactive Fitness Forest Show (check out a short Instagram video here).
Little man was excited to take part in the interactive Fitness Forest show, he had fun jumping, dancing and singing with Poppy Cat. The energetic show kept little man entertaining and asking for more Nick Jr fun! As soon as the Poppy Cat show finishes, another character appeared on stage straight away for another entertaining show.
I loved the fact that characters were available for photo opportunities after shows and you are allowed to take photos on your own camera/phone. You can also purchase the official Nickelodeon photo if you wish, but you don’t have to.
While we were at Nickelodeon Land, we also met other characters walking around and entertaining guests. All Nickelodeon Land characters are out every day to take part in special events, such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and the rest of the gang, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

After watching lots of shows and taking several photos, we made the most of Nickelodeon Land and enjoyed the amazing rides based on characters from one of the world’s favourite children’s channels.
We also had the chance to visit Pleasure Beach and use parent swap to go on the adult’s ride while one of us looked after little man. We went on a Sunday and it was quiet, there were no long queues, so we could go on several different rides.
We had an All You Can Eat Wristband, where you can get meal deals from selected food outlets from a choice of fish and chips, burgers, hot dogs, pizza and others. We stopped for pizza, pasta and salad buffet, there was something for each member of the family.
Overall, we had a fantastic family day out at Nickelodeon Land, little man loved meeting Poppy Cat and taking part in fun activities, while both mummy and daddy loved the rides at Pleasure Beach. We are looking forward to our next visit to Blackpool!

Little ones can also have fun with the new Poppy Cat magazine, which is print out monthly and available at Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and WHSmith. Such a great magazine, little man loves the activities, beautiful stickers, activity book and cool toys.
