Tales from our Kitchen
We enjoy cooking and sharing lovely meals together. I am lucky hubby is a chef, and our little boy is also into cooking, he particularly enjoys baking cakes.
Our kitchen is the heart of our home (note our heart wooden board on the wall), it is where we spend quality time together, creating nutritious and delicious meals.
Although our kitchen is not the biggest, its size doesn’t stop us from sharing so many memories there. While we are preparing our meals, we talk about food and where it comes from.
We have spent countless occasions in our kitchen, each and every one of them were meaningful. From the first fruit salad hubby and little man prepared together in our kitchen, he included pineapple, watermelon, raisins, apples and virtually every fruit we had in the house.
Another precious moment in our kitchen was when little man made delicious pancakes a couple of years ago. The pancake pan was nearly as big as him, but he enjoyed the challenge – and we all loved the yummy pancakes.
As little man is growing up, he is becoming more involved in the kitchen. We bake and decorate cupcakes together, tasty flapjacks and other lovely goodies. He was particularly proud of his chocolate pizza, the smile on his face was priceless once it was ready.
It is no secret I enjoy my tea, a good old cup of tea is welcome anytime of the day, particularly once little man has gone to bed and the house is quiet. I love going to the kitchen to make my tea, then enjoy it quietly with biscuits – yum!
Over the years, we have built so many lovely memories in our kitchen, it is where the family comes together to create delicious dishes, we also share jokes and stories in the kitchen. Little man comes up with the funniest questions when we are baking together.
