Celebrating National Teddy Bear Picnic Day on 10th July
Today, 10th July, we celebrated National Teddy Bear Picnic Day by gathering our favourite teddy bears and treating them to a lovely picnic in the park.
Picnics are a great way to celebrate the sunshine, and having some fresh air. Sadly it was raining most of the day today, but luckily we managed to get out for a couple of hours during the dry spell with our cuddly stuffed toys.
Little man was delighted that a new soft friend joined our picnic, Hamleys Drumming Bear from House of Fraser, a fun and stylish teddy bear that blows a whistle and beat its drum while marching.
The drumming bear joined the other bears in the picnic, and they all enjoyed the food, especially the cheese scones, cheese and tomato sandwiches and grapes.
I was glad to see that drumming bear ate all his food nicely and quickly, I noticed that he couldn’t wait to start marching and showing off his tricks!
Once the tummies were full, it was time to have a giggle and a laugh. Drumming bear provided the music, by blowing his whistle and beating his drum. Little man helped and join in the fun too!
Although July is National Picnic Month and it is meant to be summer, the weather wasn’t very warm today. Luckily we had some cosy Heat Holders socks to keep us warm, and a very soft snuggle up blanket to have our picnic on. Little man really liked the fur-like thermal fleece and mentioned it was very cosy!
We loved celebrating National Teddy Bear Picnic Day, and we can’t wait to have other lovely picnics in the summer!
