I still remember as if it was today when I found out I was pregnant, I was very excited that we would be starting a family, but somehow I was a bit anxious. I wasn’t sure how I should look after our baby’s sensitive skin and needed advice on washing baby clothes.
Having a child is a blessing, one of the best things that happened, but being a new mum can be scary as you don’t know what to expect. I started getting ready for his arrival by attending antenatal groups, chatting to other mums, and asking my mum for advice and tips.
As my bump got bigger and more noticeable, I started buying baby grows, nappies, wipes, blankets and other baby essentials. A couple of weeks before my due date, I washed his baby clothes and put a few outfits in the hospital bag. Persil non-bio and Comfort Pure are ideal for looking after baby’s clothes and their sensitive skin, ensuring that clothes are soft, clean and comforting – ready for cuddles!
Fabric detergent Persil non-bio doesn’t contain enzymes, it is hypoallergenic with a lighter fragrance, while fabric conditioner Comfort Pure is ideal for keeping clothes feeling soft and gentle. They are both dermatologically tested and recognised by the British Skin Foundation.
I loved little man the minute I saw him for the first time, he was so tiny and precious. I knew I would protect him and look after him the best that I could.
Little man is starting Year 1 next week and I still see him as my precious bundle of joy. I have always wanted the best for my son, from the moment he was conceived, I was determined I would give him the best start in life with lots of love and care, healthy and nutritious meals, and clean clothes washed by Persil and Comfort.
Although he is not a baby anymore, I still look after his clothes with Persil non-bio and Comfort Pure.
I am blessed I didn’t have any complications during pregnancy, and my little baby has grown into a big boy. Sadly it is not the case for everyone, as one in four women don’t have the same opportunity, and lose their baby during pregnancy or birth.
I can’t even imagine the pain of losing a child, but the work of charities such as Tommy’s can help mums to have a healthy pregnancy and baby. Tommy’s offer advice for pregnant mums, as well as funding important research into stillbirth, premature birth and miscarriage.
From now until 11th September, by purchasing a bottle of Persil non-bio 25 washes, and Comfort Pure 42 washes at Asda, 25p per bottle is donated to Tommy’s.
While I was at my local Asda, I couldn’t find any #Mums4Tommys promotional pack, but I was assured by the manager that all purchases of special packs and individual bottles bought during the promotional period are donated to Tommy’s.
By purchasing Persil-non bio and Comfort Pure, not only you are looking after your baby’s sensitive skin, you are also helping other mums and pregnancy research to save babies’ lives.
