Ordering Food Online with Takeaway.com
Takeaways are a nice treat, perfect for those days when you have no time to cook, but fancy a proper meal.
We have recently tried Takeaway.com, one of the world leaders in online food ordering, an intermediary between consumers and restaurants, making ordering food online easy and simple.
Takeaway.com originated in the Netherlands, and it has since expanded to the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Austria, France, Switzerland and Denmark.
The website is easy to use and straightforward. Once we entered our postcode online, we were given a choice of restaurants, including pizza, Mediterranean, grill, Asian, Indian and Others. We usually order Chinese or Indian, so this time we went for something different.
We ordered online, but you can also order through an app, available on the Apple Store, Google Play and Windows Phone.
You can filter restaurants by cuisine, distance, minimum order amount, sort them alphabetically or by popularity. In the grill section, we found several restaurants by our house, we had a look at their menu and special offers. We went for Picnic Kebab House, and after browsing their extensive menu of pizzas, kebabs, burgers and fried chicken, we decided to order a Mega Mix Kebab.
Mega Mix Kebab was a feast, enough to feed the whole family, containing with one skewer of chicken shish, one skewer of lamb shish, one skewer of kofta, 7 pieces of BBQ chicken wings, lamb & chicken donner, two portions of chips and 2 pots of sauces, we picked garlic and chilli sauces.
Our Mega Mix Kebab from Picnic Kebab House also had 4 pitta breads, a side salad and a bottle of soft drink. A great family meal for only £23.99. You can pay at the door, or online with PayPal or credit card. Once the order was placed, we could track it online with Food Tracker.
The whole ordering experience with Takeaway.com was very smooth and enjoyable. The food arrived promptly and tasted lovely. We all enjoyed our meal and we look forward to trying other restaurants from Takeaway.com. I have my eyes on some Asian restaurants, as I love sushi!
We tried Takeaway.com free of charge, however the opinions expressed in this post are honest and my own.
