Share Your Children’s Achievement at The Nation’s Fridge Door #ibelieveinchildren

I am very proud of our fridge door, it is where we collect photos, artwork, achievements and family memories. We have previously shared a photo of it, on a What’s On Your Fridge? blog post. There is always space to add one more photo or magnet and remind us of somewhere special.

Barnardo’s, a charity committed in transforming the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children, has launched a new campaign, The Nation’s Fridge Door. The campaign celebrates the love and support families give to their children, to show solidarity and support to the unsupported.

In our fridge, we have a selection of photos, including our wedding day, pictures of little man as a baby, and photos from his first beach holiday in Cyprus.

A few months ago, we added a ‘Star of the Week’ certificate that little man was awarded at reception for his ‘confident climbing, independent wiritng and enthusiasm of dressing up like Baby Bear’.

We are very proud of his creative artwork. I particularly like the card he made, calling me the ‘world’s best mum’, I love my red hair in the drawing and all the kisses in the card. Another beautiful artwork is his painting of a house, with a colourful flower, sun and clouds.

I uploaded a photo of little man’s artwork to The Nation’s Fridge Door , he is very proud of it and so are we! Many other parents have also joined Barnardo’s in celebrating their children’s achievement, such as celebrity parents Andy Serkis, Penny Lancaster, Fay Ripley, Jo Joyner and Tiny Hobley.

PicStick Photo Magnets

We have just received our gorgeous PicStick photo magnets and we are proudly displaying our new magnets in our fridge. I uploaded pictures from Facebook, they were printed and delivered within a few days. You can add 9 photos from your computer, tablet, phone, Facebook account and Dropbox, and PicStick offers free delivery worldwide – I will be ordering some photo magnets for our family in Brazil, I am sure they will love the surprise!

I love our new magnets, they are beautifully made and great addition to our fridge. I picked a selection of photos from our holiday in Paris earlier this year with my mum, family holiday in Italy, when little man dressed up as Harry Potter for World Book Day, making a delicious pizza, meeting Postman Pat at the movie premiere and riding a speed boat. So many lovely memories that we will be able to remember whenever we walk by our fridge!

What do you display on your fridge door?

Don’t forget to take a picture of your child’s achievement, worthy of your fridge door, and upload it to The Nation’s Fridge Door at http://www.barnardos.org.uk/fridge by Sunday. You could share a photo of your child’s work of art, or them learning to ride a bike. It is up to you what you would like to share.
