Degustabox September Edition
Another month, another lovely Degustabox arrived at our door. Degustabox, surprise food box, is delivered monthly at the end of each month, with around 9 to 14 products from well-known brands and new brands.
We have been working with Degustabox for several months and tried their January Degustabox, February Degustabox, March Degustabox, April Degustabox, May Degustabox, June Degustabox, July Degustabox and August Degustabox.
This month, we enjoyed the contents of the September box, it was packed with delicious food and drinks, such as Little Miracles and Crabbie’s.
Little Miracles is a blend of organic tea and fruit juice, sweetened with agave and free from artificial colours, flavours and sweeteners. It is a natural energy drink, containing ginseng and acai. It is light and refreshing, best served cold.
John Cabbie’s Traditional Cloudy Lemonade with a twist of ginger was in the non-alcoholic box, while Crabbie’s Alcoholic Fruits Zesty Lemon was present in the alcoholic box. Both drinks are tasty, and best enjoyed with ice.
I enjoy cooking with the contents of our Degustabox and loved seeing Carnation Cook with it! We have a similar cream in Brazil, Carnation Cook with it is a cooking cream made with fresh milk, with half the fat of single cream. It can be used in creamy recipes, instead of double and single cream.
Righteous salad dressings are made with 100% natural ingredients, with no additives, preservatives or thickeners. We received mild English Blue Cheese & Cider dressing, Lemon & Mustard seed dressing, and Raspberry and sweet basil dressing. They are handy and delicious, perfect addition to salads!
For breakfast, our box had Jordans Simply Granola, made with crunchy baked oats with a hint of honey. I am a big fan of granola, I can eat it dry on its own as a snack, and with milk and yogurt.
We also received La Vieja Fabrica Marmalade, made in Seville with only best Seville oranges. I don’t usually eat marmalade, so I will be adding it to a recipe, probably cake.
There is a brand new addition to the delicious Bahlsen Pick up! range of chocolate between crisp biscuits: Black ‘n’ White, a thick bar of white chocolate in between two cocoa biscuits. We already liked Milk Chocolate Pick up!, now we will be adding the new Black ‘n’ White to our grocery list. They are individually wrapped, and perfect to be enjoyed as a snack on the go.
Talking about snacks, I was pleased to see Elizabeth Shaw’s new Dark Chocolate Mint Thins, layers of quality dark chocolate with mint, luxuriously decorated with crunchy mint sprinkles. They are lovely on their own, or with a cup of tea – yum!
Last but not least, Burts Lentil Waves were a lovely surprise. I had no idea it was possible to make crisps out of lentils. It is available in three flavours: lightly salted, Thai sweet chilli and sour cream & chive. They are flashed cooked in Burts’ kitchen in Devon, and taste divine. Our favourite flavour is Thai sweet chilli.
We loved our latest Degustabox, it had something for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack and drinks – basically covered it all! If you haven’t tried Degustabox before, you can use the code GXWT0 to receive a £3.00 discount when registering.
The products were received free of charge for review purposes, however the opinions expressed in this post are honest and my own.
