Half term is nearly here, bring on the family fun! We are looking forward to watching movies at our local Cineworld over the school holidays. We love going to the cinema, it is always great fun!

As usual, the popular ‘Movies for Juniors’ screenings will be available each day throughout half term, giving you the chance to watch a movie you may have missed, at a discounted price. This half term, you can take your little ones to see ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’ in 2D and 3D. We watched the 3D version over the summer holidays, and loved the fun-packed sequel with Hiccup the Viking and Toothless the Dragon.

Cineworld will also be showing popular new releases, such as ‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’. Things go from bad to worse for the hapless Coopers in this madcap family comedy. For 11 year old Alexander Cooper, the day starts as it means to go on when he gets gum stuck in his hair. Calamity is then piled upon calamity, but the poor lad gets little sympathy from his family. It seems to be very funny!

Another favourite this half term is ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, in which the legendary reptile avengers return for a fast-paced new adventure. New York City is being terrorised by the evil Foot Clan. Ambitious TV reporter April O’Neil determines to land a scoop on their criminal activities, but resourceful April instead succeeds in tracking down a heroic quartet or giant reptilian crime-fighters: Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello and Leonardo.

The Book of Life

We are looking forward to watching ‘The Book of Life’, in which a young man embarks on an amazing adventure through three worlds in a beautifully animated spooky comedy. In the Mexican town of San Angel, best friends Manolo and Joaquin vie for the heart of the lovely Maria. On the Day of the Dead, mischievous spirits Xibalba and La Muerte enter the Land of the Living to place a wager on the outcome. It should be a lovely movie to watch around Halloween.

Tickets for ‘Movies for Juniors’ cost for kids and accompanying adults £1.50 in cinema or £1.35 online when booked via mycineworld for 2D, or £3 in cinema or £2.70 when booked via mycineworld for 3D. Full details on half term films can be found here: http://www.cineworld.co.uk/half-term
