Bernard Matthews Family Panel #BootifulMeals
We love nutritious family meals that are healthy and quick to make. We have recently introduced more turkey in our diet, it is rich in protein, naturally low in fat and a great source of nutrients.
You might remember our quick and delicious family meals recipes shared a couple of weeks ago. We made turkey burgers, turkey kiev fajita and turkey dinosaur wrap using Bernard Matthews frozen breaded turkey, and they were a success with the whole family.
As part of Bernard Matthews Family Panel, we were invited to a Bootiful Ideas Bernard Matthews Blogger Event at The Horniman Museum and Gardens for a fun and delicious afternoon.
It started with a food photography session with chef and food stylist Olia Hercules, in which we were given tips on food styling and how to take beautiful photos of food.
We made a turkey Caesar salad, which was quickly prepared with ready-made roast turkey chunks, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, croutons, shaved parmesan and sour cream dressing. It was delicious!
I must confess I often play safe when taking pictures of dishes, so it was interesting experimenting with props, such as crayons to add colour to the plate of delicious turkey dinosaurs.
Our lunch was made with different Bernard Matthews products, such as turkey chunks between toasted wraps, together with cheese and spring onions. I will be making it at home, as it was very tasty and can be prepared in a few minutes. Little man and hubby love wraps, so I can see it being a hit with them too!
There was also a yummy turkey mac & cheese, creamy and full of flavour!
After our delicious turkey lunch, we took part in an innovations workshop and market research, trying different coating for the frozen breaded products. Bernard Matthews has some great ideas and I hope the products that we tried will be hitting the shelves soon.
Thank you very much to Bernard Matthews for such a lovely afternoon!
