Our #DoraAndFriends Twitter Party Was a Success!

A few days ago, we hosted a Dora and Friends Twitter Party on behalf of UKMums.TV and Nick Jr to celebrate the premiere of Dora’s new TV programme.

We were looking forward to watching Dora and Friends: Into the City and meeting her new friends. Just before the party, we received a fantastic party box with everything we needed to host the fabulous party, full of activities and treats.

Our afternoon started in style with our guests walking down the red carpet with their admittance tickets at 4pm. The first game was Dora and Friends Quiz, our little guests were surprised how grown up Dora looked, and that she had a mobile phone and cute bracelet.

Her friend Naiya loves science and maths, while Emma is a musician, Alana is a great football player, Kate loves to sign, dance and act, and Pablo loves sports.

The second activity was colouring and cupcake decorating, perfect to relax just before the premiere at 5pm. The cinema-style popcorn were ready and waiting during the countdown!

Once the new Dora and Friends: Into the City started, the kids were glued to the TV, and watching carefully the new programme. I must say I loved it too! Although Dora has grown up and she is now at school, she still loves a challenge and discovering new things. She uses her problem-solving skills to discover new things about her city, give back to her community and help out her friends, in two languages.

Dora and Friends Pinata

After the premiere, we watched it again the recorded show and couldn’t wait for the next episode. The little ones kept talking about how beautiful Dora looked and also her gadgets.

The piñata was fun, the kids loved the treats and sweets inside. We placed the pinata on the floor as there was nowhere to hang it indoors – and maybe I was a bit scared it could break the TV and we wouldn’t be able to watch Dora and Friends again!

Dora and Friends Pass the Parcel

The last activity was Pass the Parcel Challenge Game, with clue card and treats. The children had to work together to try and figure out the sentence once all the layers were unwrapped. They had fun working together to solve the puzzle.

I was really busy entertaining our guests and trying to tweet about the party at the same time, but we all had an amazing time. Our little guests left with a big smile on their faces, happily holding their party bags full of treat. Although I was really tired afterwards, it was so worth it!
