The 12 Hour Store: Big Things Start Small
We all know that every journey starts with the first steps, as Lao Tzu explained: “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. Ultimately, big things start small.
Whatever you might want to do, from starting a new job, moving to a new house or starting a business, you need to start at some point. The starting journey can be very difficult, especially for new businesses facing established brands.
Walking down my local high street, I can clearly notice that it is dominated by big brands with a few local independent shops. It is virtually impossible for small businesses to make into the popular shopping streets on their own, and compete with big brand’s prime location, marketing and well-known brand name.
