Wow No Cow! That’s What Oatly is All About!
I grew up on Brazil, having lots and lots of milk, cheese and yogurt – our diet is heavily based on dairy and cow’s milk. However a few years ago, I was diagnosed as lactose intolerant. It was a shock at the beginning as I used to have cow’s milk on breakfast cereal, porridge, tea, hot chocolate, rice pudding, and basically on everything.
Ever since, I have been drinking alternatives to milk, I have tried it all from lactose free milk, soya and almond milk, to oat milk more recently.
Oatly is an oat-based milk alternative, produced by a brand that makes exclusively oat drinks. They concentrate on growing oats, harvesting from organic fields, and choosing oats to make their deliciously tasty oat drink.
It can used to replace cow’s milk on cereals and porridge, and it is packed full of fibre and nutritional goodness. Oatly can be found in original, organic and chocolate variants. I’ve tried the original version on my porridge and really enjoyed it.
In case you haven’t heard about Oatly or tried it before, you should check out the video below, featuring Oatly’s CEO Toni Petersson performing in a field of oats. Oatly has teamed up with award-winning agency Forsman & Bodernfors to create a simple and straightforward video explaining about Oatly products.
In the catchy tune ‘Wow No Cow’, Toni explains that Oatly is just like milk, but made for humans. He is singing live and playing a vintage 1980s synthesizer in an organic oat field, close to Oatly’s office in southern Sweden.
‘Wow No Cow’ video is part of Toni TV, a series of films featuring over twenty episodes.
