Christmas Gift Guide 2014: Top Gifts for Kids

As part of Lilinha Angel’s World Christmas Feature, we have been busy trying products so we could share our opinions with you in our Christmas Gift Guides, and hopefully help you find a special gift for your loved ones.

In no particular order, those are little man’s favourite Christmas gifts this year:

Christmas Gift Guide for Kids 2

Xeno (RRP £79.99) is a cute interactive monster with a range of movements and emotions with LCD-based graphic eyes. It features eight touch sensors and audio inputs and over 40 different expressions.

Little man has been asking for a pet for some time, but we don’t have enough space for a pet, so Xeno and Teksta have been keeping little man occupied. Little man enjoys playing with Xeno and looking after him, his mood changes and you can see whether he is happy, grumpy, upset, hungry, annoyed or sleepy. Xeno interacts with other Xeno friends and you can download a free app to play additional games with him!

Teksta (RRP £59.99) is a life-like robotic animal. It is available in puppy, kitty and t-rex. Little man has a Dalmatian puppy and he loves playing with his new pet. He responds to voice, physical gesture, lights and sounds. He needs training just a little puppy, and the more you train him, the more tricks he is able to perform. It comes with a bone and ball for Teksta to play with.

LeapReader (RRP £39.99) is the perfect gift if you’re looking for a complete system to help children with their reading, writing and listening skills. Little man enjoys learning to read, write and practice his listening comprehension skills with LeapReader. He simply needs to touch the pen to LeapReader books to hear the words read aloud and sound out the words, or use the special no- mess paper to practise letters, numbers and words with stroke-by-stroke guidance. It is a fun and educational toy! 

A Treasury of Christmas Songs and Stories (RRP £12) is a beautifully illustrated book of Christmas songs and stories, perfect to get little ones excited for Christmas. Little man enjoyed discovering six wonderful Christmas stories, including simple retellings of traditional tales, plus 12 classic rhymes and carols. The book includes:  The  Night  Before Christmas, The Nutcracker, The First Christmas, The Snow  Queen,  The  Twelve  Days  of  Christmas,  A Letter to Santa, Away in a Manger and many more!

Baby Thingz Duvet set (RRP £24.95) is a gorgeous Saplings blue gingham bedding set with duver cover and pillow case. Little man’s favourite time of the day is bedtime story, so he was excited when he saw his new bedding set. The Saplings Junior Bed Duvet Cover and Pillowcase fits all cot beds and toddler beds. It is machine washable, made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton and conforms to U.K. fire & safety regulations. The reverse side comes in a coordinating plain fabric, it is very cute!

Build-a-Bear Santa’s Reindeer (RRP £19) features eight lovable reindeer. This year, Build-a-Bear extended play beyond plush with the launch of an exclusive holiday app, Santa’s Merry Mission to learn about each of Santa’s merry reindeer. A special medallion comes with each reindeer and unlocks fun features in the app, including a stable, outfits, games and more. The Santa’s Merry Mission App can also be downloaded for free on iTunes or Google Play.
