How to Make New Year T-shirts
This year has gone by really quickly, we had a great 2014 and can’t wait to 2015 to arrive. In order to celebrate the beginning of the New Year, little man and I got busy and made his very own New Year t-shirts.
Zalando sent us a DIY kit to celebrate their DIY fashion competition, in which you should create an innovative fashion DIY project and share on social media tagging #ZalandoDIY, then send the details by email. The winner gets amazing prize of a trip to Zalando HQ in Berlin to have your DIY filmed.
Little man can’t remember much about previous New Year’s eve, so he wanted to create something to remind him of the last day of the year.
To make your own New Year’s eve t-shirt you will need:
- T-shirts
- Fabric pen
- Fabric stickers
- Felt Fabric
- Craft googly eyes
- Craft pom pom
- Scissors
Start by drawing the numbers on the felt fabric, then cut around each number.
Place each number carefully on the t-shirts and stick with glue. I don’t have fabric glue, so I used superglue for now.
For the 2015 sheep design, we used the number 2,1,5 on felt fabric and sheep sticker instead of number zero.
For the 2015 reindeer design, we used the number 2, 1, 5 on felt fabric, then draw an oval shape on felt fabric, cut around it, and glued googly eyes and red pom pom for the nose.
Little man loved taking part of Zalando DYI project and creating his New Year’s t-shirts. You can find out full details here: http://www.zalando.co.uk/fashion-diy/
