7 British Family Holidays on a Shoestring

If you live in Britain, you may be used to complaining about the weather, traffic and ugly cities, however, there is a wealth of fantastic destinations on these isles which allow you to get away from crowds and spend time in amongst some wonderful scenery. Obviously, we can’t control the weather or predict it very well, but as long as you are kitted out with wet weather clothes and, if it’s winter, wrap up warm, you can enjoy some great holidays without spending a lot of money. Coach trips are a great option for families who do not want the hassle of organising all aspects of their holiday and there are often many cheap deals to be had. 

Camping

Camping is an adventure for the kids, a chance for you to get back to nature and, with many campsites having plenty of activities to keep all members of the family entertained, lots of fun. Walking Holidays

Whether you want to stay in a remote cottage, prefer a city break or a seaside villa, there are plenty of private holiday lots in various locations. Barge Holidays

Barge holidays can be expensive but many companies often offer discount offers. These are great laid back holidays where family can bond, moor the boat to go for a walk or pub lunch, or spend time looking at the surrounding wildlife. 

Winter Seaside Break

Try an off-season break to a seaside resort for a relaxing break. Most of these towns have plenty of indoor recreation as they are used to catering for all weathers, even in the summer. Many hotels and bed and breakfasts will have discounted rates during the colder months.
