We love pancakes, you must have seen our recent American Pancakes recipe. In my opinion, pancakes need a good drizzle of maple syrup, and perhaps some fruit too, such as berries or banana, yum!
Clarks, the UK’s favourite maple syrup brand has a range of maple syrup and honey. It is a healthier alternative to refined white sugar and perfect to naturally sweeten breakfasts and baking. It is suitable for vegans, vegetarians and diabetics as part of a controlled diet.
Clarks maple syrup is shipped directly from Quebec in Canada, and then carefully blended, packed and delivered in Newport in South Wales. Maple syrup is graded by colour and taste, which depends on which part of the season it is produced.
After the difficult task of testing the different maple syrups, my favourite has to be Clarks Pure Canadian maple syrup no. 1 light grade, which is very light in colour and produced during the first part of the season. It is delicious and I love the cute glass flask.
My second favourite is Clarks Original Maple Syrup, a natural blend of pure Canadian maple syrup and naturally sweet carob fruit sugar. It is an affordable alternative to pure maple syrup and great substitute to sugar in recipes and drinks. It has 45% less sugar than refined white sugar, and can be used on baking and even tea and coffee. There is even flavoured maple syrup, such as the delicious vanilla maple syrup, which is little man’s favourite flavour.
