AW14 Beauty Trends Guide and Win Selection of Professional Tanning Products

Towards the end of the season, we seem to run out of ideas and forget about the main trends, so I thought it would be a good idea to share AW14 beauty trends guide to inspire your look for the rest of the season.

AW14 Beauty Guide

Salons Direct, professional salon suppliers of hair and beauty products, has published a very handy Autumn/ Winter 2014 Beauty Guide, with everything you need to know about this season’s trends, including expert advice from industry leaders in tanning, nails and brows, and recommendations to recreate the looks.

AW14 Nails

Nails Trend:

Beautiful salon manicure are hot this season, with winter subtlety colours and elegant nail air such as simple half moons and geometric lines. Industry expert Marie-Louise Coster, owner of highly acclaimed Beauty Salon & Training School All About Mi, highlights the extremes this season: nude colours and darker colours, such as wines, purples and dark plums.

AW14 Brows and Lashes

Brows and Lashes Trend:

For brows, softer and fuller pencilled brows are on trend, with a natural look inspired by Cara Delevingne. The focus has moved from lips to eyes, featuring a beautiful voluptuous effect.

Industry expert Lisa Stone recommends beauty treatments, such as tinting and semi permanent brow extensions, to reconstruct or fill in sparse brows, and recreate naturally thicker brow. For eyelashes, you can opt for volumising lash techniques such as 2D, 3D, and 4D, which add depth and volume to lashes. AW14 Tanning

Tanning Trend:

The tanning trend is a more natural, subtle glow. Industry expert Natalie Roche explains that we should find a colour that complements and emphasises our natural beauty, giving a healthy glow. At the same time, tanning products, such as Xen-Tan, should offer short and long-term benefits from anti-aging to sun factor protection.

Great post and I love that the darker plum colours are back on trend. I can’t stand big eye brows though . So I won’t be in trend for that 🙂

Toenails are about all I do, but it’s good to see what the latest trends are.

I really like the eye trend, I think softer eyes are more natural looking or better compliments the eyes sometimes. x

I love the darker nail colours but my favourite has to be the natural looking nails with diamante at the side. Personally, I don’t really wear nail varnish but I love to use henna on my nails. It leaves them a lovely red/orange colour and best thing about it is it doesn’t chip!
