Top Tips for Relaxing After a Busy Day
How do you unwind at the end of the day?
After a busy day at work, I enjoy putting my feet up and watching TV with a cup of tea and biscuits. I have my favourite blanket that I use to keep me warm and cosy, and I am not the only one in our house that loves being cosy on the sofa.
We enjoy being busy, but love relaxing just as much, so I thought I would share our top tips to unwind after a long day:
Set aside time to relax:
Whether you like reading a book, catching up with your favourite soap or having a long bath, you should set aside a time to relax and unwind.
Little man enjoys watching cartoons and kids programs while hubby loves football and sports channels. I prefer to watch movies, so I keep a list of my favourite movies. We enjoy watching TV together, nothing like have a quite day/night in enjoying a family movie with popcorn. We love movie marathons on rainy days, we snuggle on the sofa wearing our onesie and enjoying each other’s company watching a movie or two.
Find your perfect relaxing spot:
We love watching family movies lying down on the sofa, our perfect relaxing spot. We are usually very busy during the week, so we make the most of our time together over the weekend by watching funny family movies and laughing together. It is a special moment as we get to enjoy each other’s company while relaxing with a good movie and tasty popcorn.
Little man tends to bring his duvet and pillows to the sofa, some soft toys and we are ready for our movie marathon. Our sofa is a few years old and sadly it’s no longer as comfortable as it used to be. I had a look online and found some gorgeous sofas at Newman & Bright website, the specialists in the manufacture of traditional deep-buttoned Chesterfield sofas.
The collection is elegant and sophisticated, but I particularly like the look of this gorgeous Castleford 3 seater featuring wide, sweeping, flared arms – it would be just perfect for our next relaxing session!
