Ordering Local Takeaways with JUST EAT App
Although I love cooking and creating new recipes, sometimes a takeaway sounds more attractive for one reason or another. Perhaps you just got home from work and it’s late, perhaps you fancy something different or just because you want a little treat.
We tried the JUST EAT app to order from local takeaways online and really enjoyed the experience. JUST EAT is the UK’s leader in food delivery with over 20,000 restaurant menu offering pizza, Chinese, Indian, Thai and other cuisines. Ordering in the app is as easy as ordering online, however it can be down from your smartphone or tablet.
You can search by local takeaways, by entering your postcode or letting the app access your location and show restaurants near you.
We found an impressive 161 takeaway restaurants that delivered to our house, and the result can be filtered by a specific cuisine, such as African, Chinese, Japanese, Turkish and even Brazilian. I had no idea there was a Brazilian restaurant nearby, so it was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be ordering from them soon, however this time, we fancied some pizza while hubby wanted curry.
It was nice and easy looking for restaurants, based on the star rating and number of reviews. You can choose your meal to be delivered or collected. Apart from the dishes and offers available, you can also read reviews, and check the restaurant information, opening hours and map.
We placed two orders at the same time, and it was convenient checking the order details and expected delivery time within the app. Around a minute later, we received a notification saying that our orders had been accepted by the restaurant and they arrived on time. When using the app, you can choose to pay by cash or credit card.
Little man and I really enjoyed our pizzas with garlic bread, chicken wings and onions rings. Hubby had an Indian feast with vegetable curry, mushroom bhaji, saag bhaji, naan, pilau rice, cucumber raita, masala popadom, mango chutney and naan bread.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the JUST EAT app was very easy to use and a great way of discovering new local restaurants and dishes. We will be definitely using the app again soon.
A voucher was provided in order to try the app, however the opinions expressed in this post are honest and my own.
