Top Things to do in Basildon this Easter
The time has flown by since Christmas. I can’t believe it is nearly Easter and school holidays will start in a few days.
In some parts of the countries, the holidays have already started and parents are busy trying to keep their little ones entertained. I am aware it is tricky having to constantly come up with different activities, so I thought I would share top things to do with kids in Basildon this Easter, in case you live nearby.
Things to do with kids in Basildon:
There is a wide range of activities available in Basildon, including family events and offers. You can take the whole family to the Festival Leisure Park to watch a movie at pocket money ticket prices, or perhaps treat them to a bowling session and family-friendly meals at one of the restaurants located at the entertainment retail park.
The Towngate Theatre, Basildon’s town centre theatre located, offers varied singalongs and pantomimes. If you have a Frozen fan, you should definitely dress them up as their favourite character and take them to the Sing-a-long-a Frozen with live singalong host and magic moments fun pack during the full screening of the popular Disney movie.
The Towngate Theatre is conveniently located within a few minutes walk from the town’s bus and rail stations. It is also hosting Honk Jr, a musical adaptation of Hans Christmas Anderson’s Ugly Duckling.
Easter Egg Hunt:
Easter Egg Hunt is a must at this time of the year. Wat Tyler Country Park is hosting several slots for Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday 5th April.
You can book tickets for the hunt online at http://wattylerparkevents.co.uk/ and once it has finished, you can enjoy the 125 acres of beautiful parkland. You will find a miniature railway, sculpture trail, birdwatching hides, adventure playground for children and refreshment facilities.
Family Friendly Accommodation in Basildon:
After all the holiday fun and Easter Egg Hunts, I am sure the whole family will be ready for a relaxing night in. The Holiday Inn Basildon Hotel is ideal for family short breaks. Not only it is located opposite the Festival Leisure Park, with leisure activities, David Lloyd leisure centre and bowling alley, it also has family rooms and kids stay and eat free offers.
