Teddy Bear (and Dog) Picnic is #betterwithcake
We have been enjoying the beautiful sunshine in the past few days, and what a better way to make the most of the great outdoors than with a delicious picnic.
During the summer, we had our first teddy bear picnic and little man loved it. He asked if we could have another teddy bear picnic, but this time, he also wanted to invite his doggie friends.
We love picnics, they are so simple, you simply need to pack a blanket, some snacks and find a spot in the grass to relax for an hour or so. As they say, the best things in life are free, and family picnics are simply priceless.
We really enjoyed spending time together, while chatting about life and tasting some delicious Mr Kipling iconic cakes. We had some fruity Cherry Bakewells with plum and raspberry jam, topped with half a cherry, some beautifully decorated French Fancies drenched in a soft fondant icing and some cute Viennese Whirls with a raspberry jam and buttercream filling.
Little man couldn’t decide which one was his favourite, so he wanted to have one each. Suddenly he disappeared, I couldn’t find him anywhere. Then he was spotted in the secret garden, having another cake.
The teddy bears and dogs loved the pretty and yummy cakes too, and they have definitely left a sweet taste on everyone’s mouths.
Once our tummies were full, little man had a great idea to make ant houses. We started by collecting some soft materials for their bed, then acorns to make staircases.
Our Teddy Bear and Dog picnic was definitely better with cake. What is your favourite cake? When do you usually enjoy it?
