Affordable Last Minute Father’s Day Ideas

Father’s Day is only a day away, and in case you haven’t organised anything yet, no need to stress. There is still time to show dad how much he means to you and how much you appreciate all his support and love.

Father's Day

Yesterday I shared a recent survey that revealed what dads really want on Father’s Day. It is not all about flashy gifts, instead dads are more than happy with receiving a card and spending quality time with their children.

Taking this into consideration, little man helped me to put together a few Father’s Day Ideas that are budget-friendly and can be prepared in time for their special day.

Breakfast in Bed:

Dad really enjoys a lie-in, especially with breakfast in bed. This Father’s Day, our plan is for little man and I to get up and prepare daddy’s breakfast, while he relaxes in bed.

His favourite breakfasts are pancakes and a full English breakfast and that’s exactly what he will be getting. We will be making daddy English breakfast on pancake to combine his favourite breakfasts.

Roast Dinner:

Roast Chicken 2

Daddy loves a good old roast dinner on Sundays. Although roast could be a bit tricky, there are shortcuts you could take in order to prepare a roast dinner with your children.

In this week’s fresh meat offers, you will find a convenient British Garlic & Herb Chicken Cook in the Bag. The fresh whole chicken is basted with garlic and herb flavoured marinade and topped with a garlic, thyme and rosemary seasoning.

Not only the bag locks in all the juices and flavour to create a deliciously seasoned roast chicken, it is also easy to cook as it needs no preparation and makes no mess. You simply need to put the chicken in the oven for an hour and a half and serve with your favourite side vegetables.

Instead of peeling potatoes and carrots, you could get baby Maris Piper potatoes and chantenay carrots, which can be cooked with skin on. They were boiled together for 15 minutes, then cooked in the oven with a little olive oil, rosemary, salt and pepper for around 10-15 minutes, or until golden.

While the vegetables are cooking, you can prepare some delicious savoy cabbage by sautéing with butter and onions. I’m sure daddy will love his roast dinner!

Father’s Day Gifts:

Father's Day

It can be a bit hard picking a gift for dad. I believe it is all about choosing something that they need and will enjoy, without breaking the bank.

Father's Day 2

Hubby likes relaxing at home and he is little man’s super hero, so we thought that the Batman slippers. Men’s character slippers is available in Family Guy, The Simpsons, Superman and Batman designs. If your dad prefer classic slippers, you can choose from navy pattern and grey check.

Dad has recently asked for a new pair of shoes, so we were delighted when we spotted the Men’s Comfort Shoes with gel pad insole. It is available in brown and black. Dad will be getting his present in a gorgeous star gift bag, together with a card.

Father's Day 3

Furthermore, in the Father’s Day collection, you will find a wide range of affordable gifts, including novelty socks, leather wallet, leather belts, watches, groomer, electric shaver, retro wooden games and more.

The products were received free of charge for review purposes, however the opinions expressed in this post are honest and my own.
