Declutter Your Wardrobe and Support Cancer Research Kids and Teens #giveupclothes
Another academic year has just started and, just before little man meets his new teacher, I usually organise his wardrobe, putting his old school uniform aside to give space to his new uniform.
While I am clearing out his wardrobe and drawers, I check the sizes of his clothes and remove any small clothes I can find. I was surprised to discover so many new clothes, still with tags on, smaller than his current size. Together with his school jumpers, polo shirts and black trousers, I put everything in a bag, ready to be taken to our nearest TK Maxx store.
As I was decluttering little man’s wardrobe, I remembered of some clothes I had at the back of my wardrobe that I haven’t worn in several years – I doubt I would wear them anytime soon. Instead of having them taking up space, I decided it would be best to let them go to another home.
While we were decluttering, hubby checked his wardrobe and found so many clothes that don’t fit him anymore. He lost lots of weight recently, so he had a massive pile of clothing to give away. We bagged our unwanted clothes and donated them to charity.
This month, TK Maxx is working in association with Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens on their annual charity campaign Give Up Clothes for Good. Just like we did, you can also pop to your local store and donate clothes and accessories. They will then be sold in Cancer Research UK shops to help save lives and raise money to fund research into kids’ cancer. Each bag could be worth up to £30 for Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens and together we can all help to beat cancer sooner!
