How Photography Has Changed Throughout the Years
Over the summer holidays, we went to Brazil and it was great spending time with our family and friends. I had the chance to look at some photos back home, since I was born, throughout my childhood and school years.
I really enjoyed going through the pictures and remembering of the good old days. I loved swimming with my family and it is one of my favourite childhood memories.
I was chatting to my mum and she mentioned how difficult it was to get photos developed a few years ago. Not only it was expensive, she would try and make a film last as long as possible, taking only a couple of photos per occasion. There was also the issue of losing a film when something when wrong and it didn’t get placed properly.
Luckily my son was born in the digital photography era, and we can take as many photos as we want in the digital camera and smartphones. It was so easy to record his best moments, including his birth and first day at school.
We love recording our favourite family moments, such as holidays and family days out. We can take a photo and instantly check whether we like it or not. In case we are not totally satisfied, we can take another one. If it’s a good one, we share it instantly with our friends and family on social media. I love the fact digital photography has made our life easier!
