It’s Never Too Late to Follow Your Dreams!

I truly believe that we should make the most of the present as today will never come back. As the days go by, we are stepping towards our future, so today is the day to do whatever it takes to follow your dreams!

Eight years ago, my life changed…

While I was working full-time at an office, I decided to take a step towards my dream job and change careers. In order to do so, I had to undertake a part-time university course while working and raising a young family. I won’t say that it was easy waking up early, getting little man ready for nursery, going to work all day, then spending my evenings and weekends studying, researching and undertaking field work.

Although I had to devote several hours to my studies, the results were priceless. I couldn’t believe when my name was called in the graduation day, it was the beginning of my new career as a teacher. I love my job and going back to university was one of the best decisions I have ever made!

Whatever your dream career may be, you can start today a course to get the qualifications required. Technology has made education accessible for everyone and distance learning allows you to enrol on an online course, which can be completed on your own time, just like Simon’s teaching degree at The Open University.

Not only I found this story inspiring, I could also identify myself with Simon. He decided to change careers and enrolling on a course was the first step towards his dream job! Check out his full story below:
