Family Meal at Prezzo: Taste of Summer Menu
We love spending time together as a family enjoying a good family meal, especially when trying delicious dishes with summer flavours.
While out in London, we visited Prezzo to try their new range of dishes, inspired by the finest seasonal ingredients and we were delighted. The new dishes feature their star ingredient: sweet and spicy roquito pearls, which are full of flavour.
While we were waiting for our meal, little man was busy with the kids activity, which is great, as the time went by very quickly and he was kept entertained.
We started our meal with the Italian sharing board, with a selection of five starters: Italian hummus, crispy crab bites, calamari, mozzarella in carrozza and charcuterie with marinated olives, served with grilled flatbread. It was simply delicious and we all enjoyed it!
Little man had the Kids Menu, which includes 3 courses and a drink for only £6.59. He had the mini garlic bread with mozzarella as starter and the cheese and tomato mini calzone as main course. I must say I was very impressed with the generous portions.
There was more than enough for little man and he said both dishes were delicious. It was followed by ice cream, which he really enjoyed too!
I tried the seabass from the new menu, served with basil pesto, a mix of cannellini, edamame, mung beans, peas, mange tout, cherry tomatoes and red onion in a mint butter with spinach. You can choose whether you want it with house fries, mixed salad or mashed potato, I had it with salad.
The seabass was beautifully cooked and the vegetables complemented the dish. I loved the roquito pearls in the dish, it definitely delivered a burst of sweetness and a touch of heat to the delicate seabass.
M ordered the lobster and crab tortelli, served with spinach and red chilli in a saffron sauce and she really loved the flavours of the dish and said she would have the same dish in our next visit!
Hubby tried the wild mushroom pizza, with a selection of Shiitake, chestnut, oyster and button mushrooms, red onion, parsley, rocket, truffle infused oil, mozzarella and bella lodi cheese on a mushroom béchamel base. He recommends this pizza to anyone that likes mushroom, you will be in mushroom heaven!
After our meal, we had a look at the dessert menu and couldn’t resist. I ordered the panna cotta, which was served with summer fruit compote – very refreshing and a lovely end to our meal.
Hubby tried the sticky toffee pudding, which is served with hot butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream, he said it was delicious! M ordered Nutella hazelnut spread and banana mini calzones and loved the sweet calzones with vanilla ice cream. Perfect combination of flavours!
The whole family loved visiting Prezzo to try their summer menu, which is very tasty and full of flavour. The service was equally great and we will definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you very much for having us.
