#MotivationMonday Top tips for your everyday wellbeing routine

It is amazing how the sunshine affects our wellbeing. Since the start of spring a couple of weeks ago, I have noticed an increase in my energy levels during the longer sunny days, making me feel more relaxed.

Although I am known for being anxious, I am making a conscious effort to be kinder to myself and take a minute to relax and wind down after a busy day.

When I get home from work, I like sitting down for a few minutes with a cup of tea. I simply love the smell of freshly brewed tea. Lately I have been enjoying more herbal tea, especially Twinings Steamed Green Tea.

We all know drinking plenty of fluid is key to a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Apart from drinking water, herbal teas are a great way of increasing your consumption of fluids in a tasty way.

Although I am aware of the healthy benefits to green tea, I must confess I find the taste a bit strong and usually prefer to drink other herbal teas. However Twinings Steamed Green Tea range is made using a centuries-old Chinese method of steaming the green tea leaves, producing a purer and more delicate taste than standard green tea. It is perfect for those that want to enjoy the benefits of green tea without the bitter taste.

There are three flavours in the Twinings Steamed Green Tea range: simply pure, velvet jasmine and smooth lemon. Not only are the individually wrapped teabags convenient, they also lock in the flavours and freshness. They are very tasty and refreshing.

I don’t believe in fad diet, I believe in small changes that can make a big difference, such as drinking herbal tea instead of black tea, keeping hydrated and being more active.

I asked fellow bloggers to share their best tips for maintaining their everyday wellbeing, explaining what they do to be healthy and happy.

Top tips for your everyday wellbeing routine

Keeping hydrated seems to be a high priority when trying to improve wellbeing.

Erin from Yorkshire Tots says:

I have been drinking lemon water and doing 5 minutes of yoga first thing in the morning most days. It’s just a little change, but I do feel better. It’s a good way to get the day off to a good start.

Lisa from New Mum Online explains:

I am making a conscious effort to get enough sleep and I am also drinking lots of water.

Pea from A Working Mum’s blog says:

My main approach has been to make sure I drink enough water everyday. I start each morning drinking 1/2 litre of warm water before I have breakfast. I have been doing this for 3 months and really believe doing this is making me feel good from the inside. I have more energy and I don’t get headaches I used to get mot days before I started doing this.

Quiet time contributes to wellbeing.

Rachel from Rachel in Real Life says:

I get up about an hour before my husband and son so I can really savour my first cup of coffee and have some quiet time and meditate.

Eating a balanced diet and keeping active also keeps you healthy and happy.

Ruth from Rock ‘n’ Roller Baby says:

I’m just trying to eat less and move more as they say! Simple but effective and not a lot thinking about.

Sally from Life Loving mentions:

I use my lunch hour to go for a walk at least 2-3 times a week. A group of us go so it’s a social activity as well as a bit of exercise.

Becky from The Owlet explains

If I’m not doing anything I like to take a walk. I’m lucky enough to live a 10 minute walk from a nature reserve, so if I have some free time I walk down to the lake or up towards the woods. Just being out of the house for a little bit of time helps to focus my mind and makes me feel much more awake.
