Real Life Adventures: Thai Flavours and Spices
We love Thai cuisine! Although we have never been to Thailand, we are big fans of their flavour and spices.
We usually make Thai green curry and it is one of our family favourite meals! I share the recipe for our aromatic ginger and lemongrass beef curry, delicious and full of flavour.
This month, GLORIOUS! the UK leading fresh soup brand, invited us to share about any of the soup locations that we have visited, restaurants from one of the soup locations, or a dish we have created inspired by them. We simply had to pick Thai, as we absolutely love their cuisine and flavour combinations.
I was delighted to find Thai as one of GLORIOUS! locations. I’ve already shared our love for Fragrant Thai carrot soup, and I was excited when I spotted another Thai flavour during the grocery shop.
Sunny Thai Chicken is an aromatic chicken and sweet potato soup with Thai spices, ginger, lemongrass and lime leaves. It is full of vegetables, with carrot, potato, spinach, onion and spring onion. It also has aromatic coriander, coconut, red chilli and a dash of fish sauce.
I really like the fact it is a chunky soup and I can see exactly what I am eating. The flavour is just amazing, and it tastes just like our homemade Thai dishes, bringing back memories of our family meals together.
Not only is the soup fresh, I also really like the careful balance of sweet, sour, salty and bitter flavours. It is simply delicious and filling too!
Hopefully we can go to Thailand soon to experience all the flavours in sunny Thailand, but for now, I will be enjoying Sunny Thai chicken and thinking about beautiful Thai beaches!
