Delicious Family Meal at Royal China Baker Street

We treasure our family meals as a special time to chat and enjoy delicious food. We recently visited Royal China Baker Street, a flagship branch of the Royal China Group, and really enjoyed the whole experience.

Not only is the restaurant beautifully decorated in black and gold lacquer, the food is authentic and flavoursome.

As it was our first time, we wanted to try different items, so the dim sum menu was perfect for us.

While we were at Royal China, we learned that dim sums are traditionally served at lunch time, so you must visit the restaurant between 12pm and 5pm in order to try it. If you visit after 5pm, you can order from the a la carte menu.

Whether you like steamed, baked or fried dim sums, you will be spoiled by choice. We tried the prawn and chive dumplings, scallop dumplings and Shangai pork dumplings, which was simply amazing!

We were pleased to see they had roast pork buns in the menu – a must-have items, the flavoursome pork filling is beautifully complemented by the melt in the mouth fluffy pastry.

If you prefer other flavours, there are also pork and radish dumplings, crab meat dumplings, vegetarian dumplings and other flavours. We will definitely be trying them in our next visit.

While browsing the menu, we found a dish we have never had before: stuffed bean curd roll, which was one of hubby’s favourite! We’ve never tried Cheung Fun, so we ordered fried dough Cheung Fun and were pleasantly surprised with the lovely taste.

We also spotted one of our favourites: honey roast pork puffs, which was seasoned to perfection.

There is also a wide selection of rice and noodles dishes, we tried prawn and vegetables rice and mixed seafood fried noodles, which were both delicious!

At the end of our meal, we ordered steamed sweet egg custard bans and black sesame dumplings in peanut crumbs, which we all loved and it was a tasty way of finishing off our visit.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed visiting Royal China Baker Street. The whole family really liked it, the food was flavoursome and the service was fantastic. All in a great atmosphere! We were pleased to find some of our favourite dishes, but also to discover new ones. We had a perfect family meal and we are looking forward to visiting it again soon!
