Getting Ready for School
In a few days, little man’s infant school will be closing for the summer holidays. We are looking forward to spending time together as a family.
Usually we enjoy the summer holidays so much that I end up losing track of time. I must confess I usually buy uniform and school shoes a few days before the school reopens, however this year I am trying to get organised early.
Little man will be starting at junior school in September and he is so looking forward to it. He went to visit his new school this week and met his new teacher. I am so pleased he likes his school!
The new school’s uniform is totally different from his current school, so we need to make sure he is ready!
In order to get him even more excited about his new school, we visited Debenhams to purchase new school shoes. I was very impressed with their back to school range, with everything from polos and shirts to trousers and skirts.
The school shoes collection features different styles for boys and girls, suitable for all tastes, designed with scuff-resistant materials and featuring flexible fits – perfect for busy children that enjoy being active!
During our visit, little man picked his favourite school shoes styles. At the infant school, they are allowed to wear trainer style black shoes, however only smart shoes are allowed at the junior school.
We usually go for Velcro shoes, but you can also pick a style with laces if you prefer. Debenhams school shoes are fit by professionals for maximum comfort and room for growth.
He went for a short walk around the store to make sure the shoes fitted him and he said they were very comfortable. I love the fact they are made from genuine leather, in a comfortable slip on design with padded cuffs for support.
The flexy soles are designed for full foot movement during development, while the slip resistant and sturdy rubber soles are made for full grip when walking, running and climbing.
While we were at Debenhams, we also found some lovely white shirts and black trousers to go with his new shoes. Little man tried his school uniform and school shoes together and he loves them. They will be perfect for the classroom and playground and I bet little man will have so much fun at his new school! He can’t wait to September!
Now that we are sorted, we can relax and enjoy the summer holidays!
When do you usually get ready for school?
The products were purchased using a gift card from Debenhams as part of their back to school campaign, however the opinions expressed in this post are honest and my own.
