Have a Good Morning with Genius Gluten Free

I have mentioned several times that I truly believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and how it keeps me going throughout the day. I usually wake up hungry and can’t leave home without a delicious breakfast, so I always make time to have something to eat together with a cup of tea.

I was recently introduced to Genius Gluten Free, the number one gluten-free bakery brand in Britain, and was pleasantly surprised by their delicious products.

In case you haven’t heard about Genius before, it was founded by professionally trained chef, Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, who developed Genius bread after failing to find a good quality gluten-free and wheat-free bread suitable for her gluten intolerant son.

While developing the brand, Lucinda felt that everyone deserved to enjoy the pleasure of a delicious bacon sandwich or a hot buttery piece of toast. Genius range has three simple rules: great taste, best quality and gluten-free.

Although I am not gluten intolerant, I am happy to try gluten free products and to check how they compare to the corresponding product. I was spoiled by choice with Genius, their morning goods are so tasty and convenient.

The sliced spicy fruit loaf is a delicious combination of sultanas, currants, raisins and spices. Although I like bread, I preferred sweet bread and I really liked the hint of cinnamon in every slice of the fruit loaf. It is great for breakfast and also perfect as a snack.

You can add your own toppings to the fruit bread. We tried toasted spicy fruit loaf with butter, honey and jam. I am still not sure which combination is our favourite, so I might need to have a few more slices to arrive to a conclusion. You can get your own sliced spicy fruit loaf from Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose, for RRP £2.50.

We are big fans of pancakes, they are our favourite weekend treat. I was pleased to find the convenient pancakes packs, which are ready to be enjoyed anytime. The golden pancakes are light and fluffy. They are gluten, wheat and milk free.

We loved getting creative with toppings, but our favourite has to be a generous serving of maple syrup. Genius pancakes are available in packets of 6 from Sainsbury’s, Asda and Waitrose, for RRP £2.00.

We also enjoyed trying the crumpets, great for a warming breakfast. Usually we would have crumpets with butter, but we still have homemade blackberry jam in the fridge, so it was our chosen topping.

They are available in packets of 4 from Sainsbury’s, Asda and Waitrose for RRP £2.00.

Last but not least, the blueberry muffins were simply amazing, very moist and flavoursome! We had them on their own but they can also be warmed. The muffins are quick and easy, perfect as a snack or in children’s lunchboxes.

Little man tried one muffin and loved it! We will definitely be getting some for his packed lunch. They are available in packets of 2 from Tesco for RRP £2.00.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed trying Genius gluten free morning goods. They are delicious and you can’t even tell they are gluten free as they are so full of flavour!
