Family Day Out in London: Ripley’s Wicked Halloween Week
Little man loves learning about interesting facts, so you can imagine how exciting he was when I told him we would be going to Ripley’s Believe It or Not – the house to over 700 authentic artefacts, exhibits and incredible interactive experiences across six floors.
We thoroughly enjoyed finding out more about weird, wonderful and bizarre facts. Not only were we able to discover astonishing facts from amazing art, curious cultures, remarkable people, incredible nature, history re-discovered, weird but wonderful and legendary fertility statues, we could also appreciate costumes and props worn and used in Wicked.
This exclusive collaboration between Ripley’s Believe It or Not and the West End Show Wicked is only available during half-term, showcasing unique Wicked items labelled with unbelievable facts about them.
The interactive Wicked gallery features face painters that can transform little apprentices into characters from the show, while modellers can create Wicked themed balloons.
It was fun comparing ourselves to the world’s tallest and heaviest man, checking our pulse, trying to see if our hands were steady enough to create artwork inside needles and on top of pins.
The whole visit was very enjoyable and interactive too. As part of your ticket, you can experience the largest Mirror Maze in London and the newest addition to our attraction, the Impossible Laser Race, where guests can jump, crawl and twist their way between various beams to be awarded for their speed, strength and agility. A perfect day out for the whole family this half-term!
During our visit, little man really enjoyed following clues throughout the attraction to spell a mystery Wicked word. At the end of the Wicked Explorer Trail, he was rewarded with a pick ‘n’ mix treat, which he really enjoyed! You can also have a chance to win theatre tickets to Wicked.
Ripley’s London will be open from 9.30am to midnight (last entry 10.30pm) every day from Saturday 22nd October to Sunday 30th October with the Wicked themed activities running from 11am to 6pm. For more information, please check: http://www.ripleyslondon.com/
Tickets were provided by Ripley’s Believe it or Not, however the opinions expressed in this post are honest and our own.
