Top Tips to Boost Your Energy

I can’t believe it’s already October, where has the year gone? Our life is hectic, juggling full-time work, family, housework, little man’s after school activities and blogging. It’s non-stop from the moment I wake up until it’s time to go to bed.

While chatting to other mums, I realised it’s common to feel tired, especially at this time of the year when the days start to get shorter and the sunshine slowly goes away.

I thought I would share my top tips to boost energy and how I make sure I am always ready for our busy days.

Enjoy a balanced diet

I love my treats, especially cakes and ice cream, but I ensure they are enjoyed in moderation alongside plenty of fruit and vegetables. I have said several times that I always start the day with breakfast and I don’t leave the house without eating a nutritious meal. After all, studies have shown that those that eat breakfast have more energy throughout the day.

Keep hydrated

Dehydration can make you feel tired and lethargic, so I keep a bottle of water in my bag and a glass of water at my desk. I find it easier to have small sips throughout the day than to drink a whole glass in one go.

Keep active

Top up your vitamins

rescue-plus-1

Tiredness can be due to the lack of nutrients and vitamins. I have been trying the new RESCUE Plus Effervescent, suitable for adults and children over 12 years old, which contains a unique combination of RESCUE flower essences, B vitamins and minerals.

Not only are the sugar free effervescent tablets in natural mixed berry flavour delicious, they have everything I need to stay on top of my day: Vitamin B12 and Magnesium help to reduce tiredness and fatigue while Pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) is essential for normal energy release and Zinc promotes normal cognitive function.
