Tasty and Convenient New Year’s Eve Party Food with @IcelandFoods  #PowerofFrozen

It has been such a fantastic year, we are truly blessed and I can’t complain! As it’s been so great, we need to finish it off in style and celebrate with our family.

As you know, we are big fans of Iceland and their amazing range of party food. It’s great all year round, especially for a New Year’s Eve or Day party!

We like finishing off the year together and starting as we mean to go on – enjoying tasty and high quality food with our loved ones.

When I visited my local Iceland, I noticed a great selection of party food, including buffet food, starters and desserts. They are beautifully presented and convenient, so you don’t need to spend ages in the kitchen.

For our savoury table, we had a selection of seafood and chicken dishes that were placed in the oven at the same time, to remove the hassle.

We had garlic and herb seafood medley shells with king prawns, scallops, squid and salmon, beautifully presented in a natural shell. It tastes as delicious as it looks!

The jumbo tempura prawns are so tasty and little man’s favourite. The king prawns in tempura batter are seasoned to perfection!

The sticky chicken skewers are hubby’s favourite. The pieces of grilled cooked skinless chicken leg are glazed with an oriental style sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds.

We love Chinese food and were delighted to find those delicious chicken gyozas at Iceland. The steamed Chinese dumplings are filled with chopped chicken breast, soya sauce and vegetables, wrapped into thinly rolled dough. Once they were shallow fried for 5 minutes, they were ready to be enjoyed!

In our desserts table, you will find a range of tasty sweet treats, including macarons, cheesecake and dessert pots.

Not only are they incredibly cute, there are six different almond macarons flavoured fillings to choose from: lemon, pistachio, raspberry, chocolate, vanilla and praline. Very light and tasty!

Cheesecake is one of my favourite desserts and I can say I really enjoyed the very berry individual cheesecakes. The baked vanilla cheesecake on a digestive biscuit based is topped with a sweet berry sauce, raspberries and wild blackberries. Delightful!

We still haven’t decided which dessert pot is our favourite. Would it be the crème brulee, raspberry pavlova or salted caramel? If you like caramel like me, you will really enjoy the salted caramel sauce with a layer of salted caramel dessert topped with salted caramel pearls.

I’m sure you will also like the crème brulee pot, which is hubby’s favourite, featuring caramel sauce with a layer of crème brulee flavour dessert topped with caramelised sugar pieces.

Little man loves berries, so he was delighted with the raspberry pavlova pot, meringue pieces with a layer of cream flavour dessert topped with raspberry sauce. Berry-licious!

As you can see, Iceland party food is mouth-watering and so easy to prepare: the desserts only need to be defrosted while the savoury dishes are cooked within a few minutes. As always, we were very pleased with the quality and taste of the food, which was enjoyed with a glass of bubbly. What more could we ask for?
