Top Tips for Busy Mums on the Go
As a busy working mum, juggling a full-time job, family and blogging, I am always on the go. Although I thoroughly enjoy being busy and engaged in different activities, sometimes I need to remind myself to take it easy and look after myself.
When little man was born, I was home during maternity leave and remember how busy I was then. At the time, I decided to go back to work, hoping I would have some quiet time. Whether you are a stay at home mum or working mum, we are usually always on the go trying to make sure that everyone has everything that they need: the children have clean uniform and packed lunches, they have done their homework and daily reading, the house looks clean and tidy, the clothes are clean and dry, the meals are prepared and ready to be enjoyed. The list is endless!
Considering how busy mums are, I thought I would put together my top tips for a busy lifestyle on the go.
Healthy breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I thoroughly believe that we should have a nutritious breakfast before starting our busy lifestyle. I have recently shared an easy and healthy pancake recipe, Banana Oat Pancakes Recipe, which will certainly keep you full until lunchtime. It has no added sugar, flour or lactose. So delicious!
Keep hydrated
Drink plenty of water throughout the day in order to prevent dehydration and exhaustion. I usually keep a water bottle and a flask with herbal tea by my desk. I take a sip every few minutes and don’t even notice when I am drink water and herbal tea. It has become a habit to drink fluids during the day.
Balanced diet
I truly believe in enjoying a balanced diet, which includes plenty of fruit and vegetables. I try to sit down at mealtimes and enjoy each mouthful. As a result of my busy lifestyle, I might not have enough time to stop and end up rushing my meals.
As much as I try to have a balanced diet and mindful eating, sometimes I need to eat on the go and end up having heartburn and indigestion, which are not pleasant. Luckily Rennie is a range of fast-acting, effective treatments that help to relieve heartburn and indigestion so you can get on with your life.
Preparation is key
Before I go to bed, I make sure that everything is prepared for the following day: packed lunches, uniform, work clothes, etc. The next morning is certainly much calmer when I don’t need to rush around the house looking for little man’s school jumper!
Those are my top tips for a busy lifestyle on the go, and I would love to hear yours. How do you manage your busy life? What are your best tips for life on the go?
This post has been written in collaboration with Rennie, however the opinions expressed are honest and my own.
