New Piccolo Menu and Summer Activity Pack at PizzaExpress

As a family, we love visiting restaurants and it is essential that we all have a great time together, enjoying the foods that we like.

As you may have noticed in our social media channels, through tweets, Facebook updates or Instagram stories, we really enjoy visiting PizzaExpress and have been there two weekends in a row. I have also shared our wonderful experiences at PizzaExpress and also their pizza making parties.

We love delicious pizzas, but we also keep going back to PizzaExpress because we know that little man really likes the choices offered in their children’s menu.

As soon as we arrived, little man was given the new summer activity pack with stickers and crayons, and started completing the fun activities while we looked at the menu. The activity pack is great to keep little ones entertained before their meal arrives and in between courses, so we can enjoy our meal and conversations, without a single ‘I am bored’.

The Piccolo menu features mini plates of grown-up favourites, so little ones can also enjoy a 3 course meal for only £6.95. It includes baked dough balls for starter and a side salad, pizza, pasta or salad for main course and creamy gelato with Bambinoccino for dessert.

Little man loves visiting PizzaExpress, especially enjoying their delicious dough balls. I love the fact that the children’s dough balls come with a fresh salad of crunchy cucumber and baby plum tomatoes, encouraging children to eat more vegetables with their favourite starters.

For main course, little ones are spoiled by choice as they can choose from a selection of pizza, pasta and salad. The pizzas can be Margherita with mozzarella and tomato, Pollo with chicken, La Reine with ham, black olives and closed cup mushroom and American with pepperoni.

Little man usually goes for Margherita as he loves the delicious mozzarella on it. If your children prefer pasta, they could order Bianca with béchamel sauce and closed cup mushrooms, Napoletana with creamy tomato sauce and fresh basil and Bolognese with beef and tomato sauce.

A new Pollo salad has recently been added to the children’s menu, featuring torn chicken, cos lettuce, roasted red and yellow peppers, light mozzarella and light house dressing. It is served with polenta chips.

Every time we go to PizzaExpress, I try a different flavour. This time, the waiter recommended La Reine and I wasn’t disappointed. I really enjoyed the combination of ham, black olives and closed cup mushroom. So delicious!

The fun didn’t end there. Once little man finished his pizza, he had a look at the dessert menu, offering a selection of sweet treats, such as Piccolo Claudi & Fin mango yogurt lolly made with 100% natural ingredients, Pip organic fruity ice lolly made with 100% pure apple and grape juice, chocolate brownie served with fresh strawberry, and little man’s favourite Piccolo Sundae, with one scoop of vanilla gelato finished with chocolate or fruit sauce, topped with a baby cone.

While we were at PizzaExpress, we learned about their fabulous new Dough Ball adventure competition, open for children from 5 to 12 years old. Little ones are encouraged to unleash their imagination and think of an adventure for PizzaExpress iconic dough balls, then submit a story up to 200 words for a chance to win amazing prizes, including having their stories animated, weekly adventure prizes and an adventure holiday.
