Baby Essentials: BabyBjörn Carrier One and Love Manifesto

I can’t believe that our new baby will be here in a matter of weeks, it seems that I shared our baby news yesterday!

In the past few weeks, we have been busy trying to catch up with what has happened in the baby world in the past decade since we had our first child.

I must confess I am very impressed with how it has changed, making the life of parents easier and more convenient. We will be sharing our findings in our new Baby Essentials feature, so you can also take advantage of it.

When little man was around six months old, I borrowed a baby carrier from a cousin and I didn’t find it very comfortable. Maybe it is because little man was a big baby and I found him very heavy to carry. I only tried the baby carrier around the house and gave it back straight away.

I was delighted to find out about the new version of the Baby Carrier One from BabyBjörn, which has been created with comfort and support in mind. It has been made to support baby’s neck, hips and spine perfectly, while allowing parents to be hands free.

At the Love Manifesto event, I had the opportunity to try the Baby Carrier One and was very impressed by how light and fully adjustable it is. It definitely looks very different from the baby carrier I tried nine years ago. The head support is higher, there is less fabric between parents and baby, the padding in the shoulder strap makes it comfortable, while the fabric is more breathable and extra soft.

I can definitely see us having lots of walks and family fun while wearing the baby carrier. Hubby is very excited about it and can’t wait to start using it as soon as the baby is born. The Love Manifesto has been launched to celebrate the new baby carrier, focusing on the love that parents have for their children, by trusting ourselves, creating our own rules and inventing our own parenting.

At the end of the day, parents know very well what is best for the children and we always have our precious little ones in mind. We should trust our own instincts and develop our parenting style according to the needs of our children and family.

BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One (RRP £139.99) is available in black, denim grey/dark grey, classic denim/midnight blue and grey/powder pink. While BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One Air Mesh (RRP £159.99) is available in black, anthracite, navy blue, silver and frost green.

Have you tried a baby carrier before? What are your best parenting tips?

I was under no obligation to write this post, just wanted to share our experience. The opinions expressed in this post are honest and my own.
