Exploring Bournemouth with Oddbods
We love travelling and exploring new places, however the journey sometimes is not as enjoyable as we would like.
Young children likes to be engaged in activities and always on the go, so they find a bit difficult to sit still for such a long period of time.
Whenever we go on a long journey, I remember to pack plenty of snacks and water, however I never know what to take for little man to keep him entertained.
I dread the thought of him saying “I am bored” or asking “are we there yet?”.
Oddbods invited us for a family day out in Bournemouth, hosted by Children’s TV presenter Nigel Clarke, to showcase the great app VUER on National Express coaches.
The app features over 200 minutes of Oddbods, a children’s TV show for children from 3 to 7 years old, which is perfect to keep little ones entertained on journeys.
The fun day started when we were introduced to the characters by the Big Wheel: Pogo in blue and Bubbles in yellow. I like how friendly the characters are: Bubbles is curious, loves science and adventures, just like little man. The baby is more Zee, loves chilling out, eating and sleeping.
I think I am more like Jeff as I love the finer things in life and I am a perfectionist. Hubby is a big sports fan like Fuse. There are also: mischievous Pogo, selfie-lover Newt and joker Slick.
While we were on a mini tour around Bournemouth, little man had the opportunity to watch Oddbods and, even though he is 9 years old, he really liked it. I must admit I even liked it too! The episodes were fun and entertaining.
It’s great that children now can watch such a lovely programme on journeys, so the time goes by quickly for everyone, making coach journeys on National Express more enjoyable!
As you may have seen in our Instagram stories, the fun didn’t stop there! We had a fun-filled family day out, admiring beautiful Bournemouth from the Big Wheel, enjoying a game of mini golf, eating a delicious lunch and lots of crafting at Key West.
We all had a fantastic day, thank you Oddbods for having us!
