Christmas and Santa’s Grotto at Paradise Wildlife Park
As you may have seen, we visited Paradise Wildlife Park a few weeks ago and the whole family had a wonderful time. When we heard about the Christmas festivities at Paradise Wildlife Park, we instantly knew we had to attend. After all, we absolutely love Christmas and it’s never too early to get into the Christmas spirit.
Last weekend, we woke up early, put our Christmas jumpers on and got ready to meet the one and only Santa at his new residence at Paradise Wildlife Park. Our little one is at a wonderful age, he has been looking forward to Christmas for a while and has been making the most of his Christmas tops and jumpers in the last few weeks.
He has fully embraced the festive period. One of his most common questions is: “Is it Christmas today?” He gets so disappointed when we tell him that he needs to wait a bit longer and finish his advent calendar first.
The look on his face when we told him that we were heading to Paradise Wildlife Park again was priceless. As soon as he found out that it was transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland with a Santa’s Grotto, he got really excited. He couldn’t wait to meet Santa!
Paradise Wildlife Park is full of Christmas trees, festive lights and decorations, including a massive 20ft Christmas tree by Santa’s Grotto. If you are not a member, tickets need to be booked in advance and I love the fact that a visit to Santa’s Grotto is included in the entrance ticket.
Not only are you able to enjoy the beautiful animals in the World of Animals and the fierce dinosaurs in the World of Dinosaurs, you can also have a chat with Santa and his elves. We weren’t expecting any gifts from Santa, so it was a lovely surprise that the boys came out of the grotto with lovely gifts to remind them of their special visit. Our dinosaur-mad little one even got a dinosaur gift. How sweet!
We had a fabulous Christmas filled day at Paradise Wildlife Park, chatting to Santa and his elves. Before heading to Paradise Wildlife Park, remember to wrap up warm as you need to queue outside for Santa’s Grotto, which operates on a first-come, first-served basis. You can visit Santa on the weekend of 11th and 12th December, and daily from 17th to 24th December.
