Half Term Ideas: Top 5 Family Fun Activities #MWactive
I can’t believe it’s already Thursday, this week is going by too quickly. Half term is only a few days away, so I have put together our Top Family Fun Activities based on what we have done together as a family and enjoyed ourselves.
We love spending time together, no matter where we are, we always have a great time as a family.
It’s all about enjoying the simple pleasures in life, whether you prefer to play in the playground or go on a conkers hunt, a family fun day in the park is very enjoyable for all and it is free!
Little man loves going on little adventures and the whole family get involved on looking for bugs, insects and spiders. You can also take along a bugs guide to identify bugs and learn more about them while you are there.
Paper Boats are extremely easy to make after you have made one, and they are great fun. You can decorate the boats, then go to your local lake and have a paper boat race. It proved very popular with our family!
5. Sightseeing
We love exploring our city together, London is a great place to be and we try and visit as many places as we can. We have been to the London Transport Museum, London Zoo, Sea Life Londonn Aquarium and loved it.
5. Road Trip
A couple of months ago, we went on a Road Trip: London – Warrington – Blackpool, we visited Blackpool for the first time and had a lovely time. We had Family Fun at Blackpool Tower and we also went to Nickelodeon Land at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. It was a short city break with involved lots of walking around, but very enjoyable.
October is a Stay Active month and in order to encourage children and parents alike to stay fit and healthy, Mark Warner, the family activity holiday specialists, is hosting the Stay Active Family Challenge. We have agreed on taking part of the challenge by spending a minimum of 4 hours over the month taking part in activities of our choice as a family.
I would love to hear what you are up to this month? Please feel free to share your activities and any suggestions you may have. Why not share your pictures or tweets with Mark Warner on twitter @mwholidays using the hashtag #mwactive. You can also search the hashtag for inspiration.
Whatever you are up to this half term, hope you have a great time with your family and make the most of your loved ones.
