Competition: Win Drumond Park Wordsearch Junior Game
Little man started school a few months ago and he is really enjoying reading at the moment, so he was delighted when we received a new Drumond Park game to review: Wordsearch Junior, fabulous learning fun for little ones.
We are massive fans of Drumond Park games, we have previously reviewed Spin Mania, Box of Shocks,Pumpazing, LOGO What am I?, Bubble Buster Kazoo Game and Mask N Ask. All of them are very enjoyable to play and were a success in our household!
Wordsearch Junior (RRP £18.99) is suitable for children aged 4 and above, and can be played by one to four players. It is based on the same cleaver turntable design of the original Classic Wordsearch, there are nine double-sided puzzle discs with three different levels covering numerous topics.
Wordsearch Junior is ideal for children getting to grips with language, recognition and pattern, they can start searching for images and patterns on the starter level blue picture-pattern cards. Once they have mastered the blue cards, they can move on to the red picture-hint cards, and find words with picture hints to help them in their search.
Little man is currently playing with picture hint cards, and he will soon move to the green word-only cards, where he will be learning to look for consonant clusters and vowel combinations, increasing his reading skills without even realising it.
Little man really enjoys playing with Wordsearch Junior and I really like the fact it is an educational game, he is learning language and reasoning skills without realising, through the exposure to images, letters and words. I also like the fact there are three levels, blue picture-pattern cards, red picture hint cards, and green word-only cards, so the game can be adjusted according to your child’s level.
