M&S Matching Fashionistas Challenge
At Lilinha Angel’s World, we love gorgeous fashionable clothes, so little man and I were excited when Marks & Spencer invited us to take part in their M&S Matching Fashionistas Challenge. We were asked to select our Christmas party outfits from one of the key M&S AW13 trends: Winter Whites, Very Berry, Dark Drama and Heritage.
We were spoilt by choice when selecting our outfits, and while I was browsing the collections, I noticed so many beautiful designs and styles. We decided to go for Dark Drama, as described on M&S style edit:
“Draw inspiration from the sultry undertones of film noir heroines and that sleek, structured feel to dressing for evening. Vintage-style touches, such as metallics, gold embroidery and sequins, will give your wardrobe a luxurious edge that works beautifully with classic pieces like shift dresses, black leggings and slim knits. Think texured fabrics, such as lace, velvet and faux fur in a rich, deep palette of burgundy, black and subtle metallics. Dresses are ultra-flattering hourglass shapes, while coats are belted at the waist.”
I picked a 4 Piece Waistcoat Outfit for little man from M&S kidswear and a matching piece for myself from womenswear section to complement his outfit.
Little man’s outfit is so stylish and modern, it comes with a waistcoat, long sleeved shirt, pair of trousers and tie. The v-neck, double breasted waistcoat has a different colour at the back, the blue material matches the light blue shirt, while the velvet contrast trim of the waistcoat matches the black tie.
Little man received so many compliments when he was wearing his gorgeous outfit on Christmas Day. Not only he was dressed really well, he was also comfortable as the clothes are made of great quality soft material featuring adjustable waist trousers.
I picked a Petite Panelled Peplum Dress with Belt to match little man’s outfit. It is a gorgeous lined short sleeve peplum style dress with round neck and panel detail. I am short (5ft 3”) and have a petite frame, so it can be quite hard to find a dress to suit my figure, however I really liked how this dress complemented my figure and how beautiful it looks.
Petite Panelled Peplum Dress is a versatile dress, can be worn as a party dress or as a work dress, on its own or with a jacket. My favourite part is the peplum detail in black, matching the sides of the dress, and the gorgeous belt.
I love the quality and style of our M&S outfits, we both received several compliments and comments on how stylish and elegant we were. Thank you very much to M&S for inviting us to take part in the Matching Fashionistas Challenge, we loved picking our outfits and wearing them!
The 4 Piece Waistcoat Outfit has a RRP £30, however it is currently on sale for £20, and the Petite Panelled Peplum Dress with Belt has a RRP £45, it is on sale at £27.
