Life goes by so quickly, it is already February, where has the first month of the year gone? I try to do as much as I can, but it is virtually impossible to finish all the tasks in my to-do list.

Last week I had the pleasure of trying TaskRabbit, a brand new service in the UK, which allows you to give magic hours back to yourself and those that need the most. You can find a range of Taskers, from house cleaner, to handyman and even a personal assistant. Whether you are need help with tidying up, fixing something or organising an event, there is a Tasker for you!

Our house is usually clean and tidy, but we had guests over the festive period and there were a lot of us living together during Christmas. My mum stayed with us until end of January, she came all the way from Brazil, so cleaning was the last thing on my mind while she was here. I kept the daily chores in order, but I didn’t have time to do any deep cleaning for a few weeks.

Once my mum left, I realised that the house was upside down and I needed a helping hand to put everything in order. It was quick and easy to book a tasker online, I simply had to choose which task I needed help with, from the options cleaner, handyman and personal assistant, then enter my address and additional details of the task required. I hired Bonnie to come to our house and help us with cleaning and tidying up. TaskRabbit domestic cleaning experts can make your home sparkle. In case you have any specific requests, TaskRabbit is happy to accommodate most requests for other cleaning services and taskers can bring special supplies if you request them.

After hiring Bonnie, she contacted me through the website to arrange a time to come round, she responded promptly and we booked a suitable time. On the day, she arrived on time with a smile on her face wearing TaskRabbit t-shirt, so I could easily recognise her. Bonnie was extremely helpful, professional and friendly. She was with us for 4 hours, and throughout the day, she asked me whether I had any specific requests and how I wanted things to be done.

When Bonnie left, I had a look around the house, it smelled fresh and clean and it looked very tidy and organised. She even helped me to tidy up the bathroom cupboard, something that I’ve been meaning to do for a long time but never got the chance to. I stayed in during the task as I wanted to wash clothes and tidy up other parts of the house, but you can leave home and run any errands that you need. Every tasker is identity verified and they can complete a wide range of tasks.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed using TaskRabbit and having a tasker in our house. As we are quite busy, I am thinking of hiring a tasker every month or so to help out with cleaning.
