Celebrating the Gorgeous Weather with a BBQ Party! #MorrisonsMum

We love putting the charcoal on, gathering our friends together and having a delicious BBQ! We are very happy the BBQ season has finally arrived, and we celebrated with a good old BBQ during the May Bank Holiday. As you might have seen on our Twitter, Instagram and Facebook page, we have been enjoying some delicious food as part of Britmums #MorrisonsMum campaign.

Little man’s birthday was just before the bank holiday, so we decided to throw a BBQ party for his little friends and parents. We had nearly 25 people in total, and everyone mentioned that they really enjoyed the food.

When I went to our local Morrisons for our bank holiday weekend shopping, I’ve noticed the new yellow markers, showing Morrisons’ new everyday cheaper prices.

Cheaper Everyday Prices at Morrisons
Cheaper Everyday Prices at Morrisons

From last week, Morrisons cut the prices on over a thousand of your favourite products. Not temporary reductions or supermarket smoke and mirrors, these are new everyday low prices on the things you buy every week. So you’ll notice the difference with every shop. And although they are cutting prices, they are not cutting corners.

You’ll still get award-winning meat and fish, still get trained butchers and bakers, still get the best of fresh on Market Street and still get friendly Morrisons service. We bought some British chicken drumsticks for £3.49 (was £4.29), vine ripened tomatoes for 99p (was £1.69), McCain Home Chips Straight Cut for £3 (was £3.30). You can check Morrisons’ pricing at www.Morrisons.com/pricecuts.

I was very impressed with how much I managed to buy with the £80 vouchers provided, I bought enough British beef burgers, succulent sausages, bread rolls, chicken drumsticks, chips, juices, soft drinks and icelollies for our party. The ice lollies were a success with the kids, 20 lollies for only £2, that’s 10p per ice lolly!

I also found a gorgeous pirate themed party favours, sweets and chocolates for the party bag. I also got some chocolate to make cereal cupcakes during the party, lots of snacks and chocolates to keep the kids entertained.
