Degustabox Surprise Tasting Box: April Edition

I love food and I love surprises, so receiving a surprise food box each month is just perfect! We have been trying Degustabox for a few months (Degustabox January box, February box and March box) and I love the concept.

Degustabox is a new monthly subscription service which arrives to your door with 10 to 15 new and limited edition food products from well known brands. It is like receiving a gift every month as you don’t know what you will get until the box arrives. For a monthly fee of £12.99 including delivery, with no fixed in contract, you will get a box of delicious goodies worth approximately twice that amount.

The April box had so many lovely items, again we were impressed with the great selection of products! We received:

Mornflake Superfast Posts
Mornflake Superfast Posts

Mornflake Superfast Posts are convenient and delicious cereal on the go. I tried fruit & nut muesli and raisin, honey and almond granola, ready-made bowl of cereal by adding a splash of cold water.

I love the fact it comes with a handy spoon and you can enjoy a tasty breakfast within seconds. My favourite has to be Mornflake raisin, honey and almond granola – so tasty!

Clearspring Miso Soup on the Go
Clearspring Miso Soup on the Go

Clearspring Miso Soup on the Go can be made by simply adding hot water to the freeze-dried blocks of miso, which locks in all the nutritional benefits. They are rich in satisfying flavour, low in fat and full of concentrated goodness.

I tried white miso with tofu and red miso with sea veg, and they were both delicious, with my favourite being white miso with tofu.

McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Mini Rolls
McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Mini Rolls

McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Mini Rolls are individually wrapped mini rolls that can be enjoyed frozen as a refreshing summer snack.

We received Berry Burst and Tropical, we were planning on trying them frozen, but they were such a success with little man that they were quickly eaten by the time I saw. We must pick up some more on our next grocery shopping so we can try them frozen.

Dr Oetker Fine Cooks' Chocolate and Lindt Lindor Treat Bar
Dr Oetker Fine Cooks’ Chocolate and Lindt Lindor Treat Bar

There was a chocolate bonanza in the April box: Dr Oetker and Lindt. Fine Cooks’ Chocolate by Dr Oetker has been specially created for baking, we tried chocolate milk with 35% cocoa solids and extra dark chocolate with 72% cocoa solids. They are both full of flavour and easy to melt, perfect for cakes and cupcakes.

There was not only one, but three Lindor 38g treat bars by Lindt Master Chocolatiers in the box. The smooth milk chocolate melts in the mouth, yummy!

Cawston Press, Go Splash, Keogh's and Crabbie's
Cawston Press, Go Splash, Keogh’s and Crabbie’s

If that’s not all, we also received a selection of drinks: Cawston Press Rhubarb is a deliciously tart soft drink made with rhubarb blended with sweet apples and sparkling water. It is refreshing and perfect in a hot day, it is free from preservatives, additives and artificial sweeteners.

Go Splash is a pocket size bottle that creates 30 flavoured drinks, we tried the Blackcurrant flavour and it was a success with the whole family. The convenient bottles are easy to carry and use, perfect to take to picnics and add to water bottles when you are out and about for an instant drink.

Keogh’s Farm Crisps are delicious crisps produced in a family potato growing and crisping business in North County Dublin. The Atlantic sea salt and Irish cider vinegar crisps are delicious, and perfect to be enjoyed with Crabbie’s. Crabbie’s raspberry alcoholic ginger beer is made from a blend of steeped ginger, Scottish raspberries and the finest exotic spices, producing a uniquely refreshing taste.

Overall, we really enjoyed Degustabox once again. Until I received this box, I thought March’s box was the best, but now I think April’s box is my favourite. It shows that the surprise tasting boxes can only get better.
