It’s end of term, and I must confess I have been feeling quite tired lately. As I usually have a busy day ahead, I make sure I have a good meal to start the day. If you follow me on Instagram, you must have noticed I was doing #RealMumsAllBran 5-day challenge last week.

 In my opinion, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I can’t start my day without a good breakfast. During the week, I usually have cereal with a cup of tea, while on weekends the whole family sits down to enjoy pancakes or cooked breakfast.

The 5-day challenge didn’t feel like a challenge at all, as I simply had to enjoy a bowl of All-Bran for 5 consecutive days and see how I felt by the end of the week.

By enjoying a portion of All-Bran daily, you can have over a quarter of the daily recommended amount of wheat bran fibre. In order to reduce digestive transit time, you are required to consume 10g of wheat bran fibre per day, and each serving contains at least 2.7g of wheat bran fibre. 

We have all felt bloated and sluggish at some point, and according to a recent research, we are not alone.  Over half of the 1,000 women researched in the UK experienced digestive problems at least once a week, such as bloating or gas.

I usually have a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, with plenty fruit and vegetables, drinking lots of water and walking as much as I can. 

I started the 5 day challenge by trying All-Bran Golden Crunch, a light multi-grain cluster with grains of wheat and rice. It is high in fibre and enriched with folic acid and vitamins. It is a very tasty, and each spoonful is simply delicious!

I then tried All-Bran Chocolate Wheats, made of shredded wholewheat with chocolate filling.  It is also high in fibre, and perfect if you don’t want to give up chocolate while enjoying a healthy diet.

 So how did I feel after the 5 day challenge? I must say I felt really good, and enjoyed every single bowl. I didn’t feel bloated at all during the challenge and having a daily bowl of All-Bran didn’t feel like a challenge at all – it was actually very enjoyable and I’m looking forward to my next bowl of All-Bran tomorrow morning!
