I can’t believe we are heading towards the end of the school holidays and little man will start Year 1 next week. Going back to school means routine with uniforms and healthy lunchboxes. As a mum, I want the best for little man, it is essential he has a nutritious lunch with a refreshing juice drink at school, so he is hydrated and ready to learn.
We had a fantastic summer holiday, enjoyed every minute of it, but little man has already mentioned that he misses his friends and can’t wait to meet his new teacher. He got very excited when he tried on his new school uniform and shoes.
He also enjoyed going to Tesco to buy some lunchbox essentials, such as fruit and Capri-Sun. We are already fans of Capri-Sun, the convenient pouches are perfect to be enjoyed on the go, on family days out, long car journeys and a great addition to lunchboxes.
Little man’s favourite flavour is tropical fruit juice, made with lemon, orange, passion fruit, pineapple and apricot. However you can also find the 200ml fun drink pouches in other delicious flavours, such as orange, blackcurrant, summer berries, apple, apple and cherry, mango and safari. They are all made with fruit juice from concentrated and no artificial colours, flavours of preservatives.
I am aware that making packed lunches is not an easy task, and perhaps I am not the most creative with little man’s lunchbox, but I need to make sure that it is balanced, nutritious and he likes it.
I usually add some fruit, like apple, pear, strawberry or grapes, with a sandwich on brown bread or wrap, with a pouch of Capri-Sun.
In order to make lunchbox more exciting, I get little man involved in packing his lunch, such as letting him pick which fruit he would like one day, the flavour of his juice the next day, and so on. I also like freezing the pouches overnight, so it is cool the next day.
Capri-Sun juice is refreshing and fun, perfect to keep little ones hydrated, and for a genuine ‘Thanks Mum!’.
