Disney on Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic at the O2 in London
I grew up watching Disney movies and, as every little girl, I dreamed of becoming a princess when I was little. Over the Christmas holidays, we had the pleasure of watching Disney on Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic at the O2 in London.
The tour of Disney on Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic, produced by Feld Entertainment, started in September in Glasgow, then it went to Newcastle, Manchester and Birmingham in October, Sheffield in November, finishing off in London in December.
As soon as we arrived at the O2 and sat down, we were looking forward to the show. If you are after souvenirs to remind you of the day, you will find plenty of options. Little man had a Woody flashing light and Mickey Mouse popcorn to be enjoyed during the show.
We had a fantastic time, and loved every minute of the show. It featured award-winning Disney music, beautiful costumes and stunning choreography. I am not sure who enjoyed it more, the children or the grown-ups.
We watched the show with excitement as the 65 of Disney’s unforgettable characters from 18 stories danced away on ice.
The skating spectacular is filled with magical moments from the past decades, featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, and all Disney Princesses, Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine and Aladdin.
There are also other Disney characters, we enjoyed watching Pinocchio becoming a real boy after he proved himself to the Blue Fairy and Geppetto.
One of little man’s favourites Woody and Buzz Lightyear also made an appearance during the show. The story of Mulan and Simba were beautifully told. I am still not sure how they managed to squeeze so many characters in the show, but we were glad to see Finding Nemo and The Incredibles.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the show, it was full of magic and kept the audience entertained during the whole time. My favourite part was singing along to Beauty and the Beast while watching the fabulous skate sequences.
